Watching the short video, History of Typography, for a second time, I caught onto a few more details than I previously had. To start, I realized I recognized the dates and names of the type designers better. We have had to research a few of the designers that are talked about in the video, and having the extra history about them makes a difference. I also questioned as to why the type face Garamond was not included. I am working with the font currently for our third project, and after reading about it, I feel as if it was the precursor to Caslon. That being said, I wonder why it was not brought up as being an original Old Style font. One more thing I noticed is that I had a much better grasp as to what was a transitional font and a modern typeface. When we first watched the video, I didn't really see that great of a difference. But now I see just how much of a contrast there really is!
